Restorative Justice for Girls of Color
Code Switch is a participatory action research collaborative formed to address the disproportional rates Black Girls experience suspension and expulsion from Southern Nevada's P-12 schools. Comprised of individuals and partnering organizations with a commitment to addressing the inequities shaping their experiences, the collaborative provides participating girls, as well as the educators, institutions, and women who care for and mentor them, with access to culturally-centered sister circles, personalized mentored support, critical mentored experiences, restorative practices training, opportunities to experience youth-led community action, scholarships to attend and present at national conferences, as well as cultural emersion programs inclusive of opportunities to travel abroad.
