Partners & Allies

"What we do is more important than what we say or what we say we believe." ~bell hooks
MENTOR PROVIDERS
Like founding partner Teaching and Uniting Ladies to Inspire Positive Success, mentor providers are responsible for providing participating girls with the culturally-centered mentored experiences necessary for them to thrive and achieve. Due to the unique and complex needs of the girls and young womxn we build alongside, we seek to expand our relationships to include partnerships with youth-serving mentorship organizations committed to providing critical mentorship for young people adversely impacted by the conditions of poverty, including but not limited to food & housing insecurity, sexual and other exploitation, and trauma as a result of discrimination, harassment  and/or bullying due to race, ability, religion, immigration status, gender/gender identification, and sexual status.

SITE BASED PARTNERS
Each year, we seek to expand our site-based partnerships to include justice-focused schools and youth-focused community organizations seeking to better build with, advocate for, support and serve girls and young women of color.   We are especially interested in building with organizations that seek to sponsor and host Code Switch sister circles on site.  Contact us if you would like to host a Code Switch sister circle at your school or community based site.  Let's discuss fees and start the process of building together!

NETWORK ADVOCATES
Our Network Advocates are volunteering practitioners, researchers, stakeholders, concerned community members, and/or individuals representing local organizations committed to taking actionable steps to address the systemic and structural inequities experienced by girls in schools.  Working in collaboration with Code Switch, network advocates help Code Switch girls problem-pose actionable solutions to the equity issues Girls and Young Womxn of Color raise.  Join us as a network advocate and help make a difference in girls' lives!  Start by attending our monthly volunteer network meetings.  The  2020-2021 schedule will be published soon.

If your school or community-based organization provides direct service to Girls of Color and would like to learn more about partnership opportunities contact us at codeswitchlv@gmail.com.
