EMPOWERED ~ ACTIVE ~ GIRLS ON FIRE
Code Switch was founded in 2016 by three Black women educational leaders to provide girls and young women disproportionately pushed out of local secondary schools with opportunities to work together to change their trajectories. Today, the Code Switch mission is to dismantle inequities shaping Southern Nevada’s school-to-prison-pipeline, especially for girls and young women of color. Powered by partnering organizations, and partially funded by the NoVo Foundation, Code Switch girls work in collaboration with local education leaders, to equip Southern Nevada's girls and young women with the knowledge, skills, and disposition to advocate for themselves, as well as their community of youth at-large.
